4 | (1- inch thick) salmon fillets (about 1 1/2 pounds) | ||

1 | lemon | ||

2 | tablespoons | butter, melted | |

freshly ground black pepper | |||

fresh sprigs of dill | |||
|
Prepare grill or preheat broiler.
Combine dill weed, onion powder and garlic powder. Sprinkle on both sides of fish.
Cut lemon in half; juice one half and slice the other for serving with fish. Stir lemon juice into melted butter.
Place fish on oiled grill or broiler pan. Cook 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until slightly firm to the touch and opaque in center, basting with lemon butter.
Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over salmon before serving. Serve with sliced lemon and a sprig of fresh dill if desired.
Note:
Sweet Basil or tarragon may be substituted for dill weed. Other firm fish may be substituted for salmon.
